Mark Burns

Mark Burns has been in the health insurance industry for 30 years. He began his insurance career as an instructor, helping to get people to pass their Accident & Health, Life & Annuities license. From there he worked for an actuarial firm, a role that provided a segue from his scientific career into the business/insurance industry. After a brief stint with a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Mark became an insurance broker in 1999. He holds an Accident & Health, Life & Annuities license.

As the climate of medical insurance has changed, Mark has been on the forefront of such changes – whether that be the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or being fluent in Reference Based Pricing (RBP) arrangements. He works with customers of all sizes, but is better situated with experienced-based customers, with the ability to properly analyze the proper funding arrangements based on the size of the group and risk tolerance of the customer.

Mark lives in Allison Park, PA.
